Yalemzerf Yehualaw delivered an outstanding performance at Sunday’s TCS Amsterdam Marathon, breaking the course record with a personal best of two hours, 16 minutes and 50 seconds.

In doing so, she also set the Dutch all-comers’ records—the fastest marathon ever run by a woman in the Netherlands.

The 25-year-old Ethiopian, expertly paced by her NN Running Team teammates Abel Sikowo and Björn Koreman, surged ahead just before the halfway point, finishing 30 seconds faster than the previous record held by her teammate Almaz Ayana.
